Dev Account Rules of Engagement

So I have finished, for the time being, my foray into Qodly Cloud. However, I have questions. Much of this may be stated somewhere but I cannot find it.

  1. What are the actual limits on a Sandbox account?
Data storage (10Gb) and transfer (1Gb) are clear but the memory usage which seems to randomly max out does not seem to be stated.

  2. How long will my Sandbox dev app be accessible?
Lets say I come back to play again in 3 months or wheever I may have a further use? I previously had a dev app I played with last year and it was wiped. I have copied the files available via SFTP but if I reloaded this to a new project would they work (not worried about data obviously).

I have stopped the server for now as I want to be a good citizen but should I clear everything down?

Hi,

Sandbox is limits are described here: Pricing | Qodly
Regarding memory, a sandbox is the same as Power1:

Other limitations of sandbox are: no public access, no backup, etc. See this on the pricing page as well.

Regarding how long it will be accessible, we’re currently reviewing this aspect. A sandbox that stays too long unused will eventually get wiped. After 3 months without activity, don’t expect to find your sandbox back.
You did good by saving your files via SFTP, but keep in mind that currently you only have write access on the shared folder. Currently the only way to duplicate / restore an app is to use the clone feature for paid accounts. But based on your SFTP backup, you’ll be able to copy paste your code and pages in a new sandbox of app.

Mathieu,

Many thanks. I will have to wait and see if anyone gives me a project where this would be a good fit. It seems like it has a ways to go to be production ready. I will check back in 3 to 6 months.
